Another photovoltaic system put into operation

After Georg Utz AG, we are now also using the roof of Pooltec AG in Bremgarten to produce solar energy.

The Utz climate strategy shows us the way to a climate-neutral company and climate-neutral products. By 2030, we will use energy exclusively from renewable sources at all our sites worldwide. The optimum situation is when this can be produced directly on site.

In “AEW Energie”, we have found a partner to help us implement this in Switzerland. AEW builds, operates and maintains the photovoltaic system, while Utz as a partner provides the surfaces. The new plant on the roof of Pooltec measures 2,300 m2 and will be able to supply about 75 four-person households in the region with energy in addition to the entire production of our own consumption. 

With the realization of the installations at our sites in Bremgarten, we are another step closer to our 2030 target.
