The Utz Group celebrates the opening of its plant in Mexico
With a ceremony and invited guests from politics and business, Utz celebrated the official opening of its new production site in San Miguel de Allende on September 13.
With the new plant in Mexico, Utz is expanding its footprint to better serve international customers in Central and South America.
Despite the current global economic situation, demand for products from our core segments of automotive, retail and logistics automation remains high. There is further growth potential, especially due to the rapidly developing automation of warehouse logistics in North America.
Utz has already been present in Mexico since 2017, and in 2020, in the middle of the global pandemic, the decision was made to build our own plant. The new factory is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology in the Utz Group, a high degree of automation creates flexibility and simplifies processes.
